Maya Maxwell RA, Principal

Maya Maxwell is a New York City based architect, designer and project manager whose work is informed by her prior training in art and her passion for problem-solving. Since graduating from The Cooper Union in 2005, Maya has taken on a vast range of projects including large scale residential developments, private home renovations, educational facilities, retail spaces, offices and hospitality work. Maya is dedicated to the balance between form and function, and embraces an open discourse about the nature of design and the design process with clients and consultants alike. In forming ADAPT Collaborative, Maya set out to grow a community of design collaborators to take on projects of differing disciplines, programs and scales.

Jonathan Lloyd Smith, Designer, Owner of Common Concepts LLC

Since receiving dual degrees in architecture and fine arts from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2005, Jon has worked on a diverse array of projects in architecture, interior design, documentary film, event production, and marketing. Prior to founding Common Concepts LLC, Jon honed his branding expertise while working in the architectural sector for a variety of high-end residential and commercial clients including: Johnson & Johnson, J. Crew, Barneys NY, Tiffany & Co., and Brooklyn Brewery. Jon's bold design sensibility, coupled with his extensive knowledge of project delivery methods for varying project and client types, makes him an invaluable resource.
